Remove the demo pill
The floating demo pill in the bottom-right corner is the only surface for switching brand, theme and home variant at runtime. It is useful while evaluating the template; you will want to remove it before going live. There are two ways.
Option 1 — switch it off in config (recommended)
Set demoPill: false in src/data/site.config.ts. The DemoPill component checks this flag at build time and renders nothing when it is false. The CSS, JS and the floating element are all omitted from the build, so there is no runtime cost.
export const site = {
// ...
demoPill: false,
}; Option 2 — remove the component entirely
Delete src/components/DemoPill.astro and remove the <DemoPill /> line from src/layouts/Base.astro. Also remove the import at the top of Base.astro. The inline theme-init script in Base.astro still sets data-brand and data-theme from localStorage, so visitors who previously picked a brand or theme keep their choice.
Shipping a single brand
If you want to ship a build with only one brand, set activeBrand in src/data/brand.config.ts to that brand and remove the other two presets from src/brands/index.ts. You can also remove the brand-specific font imports at the top of Base.astro to slim the CSS payload.
Shipping a single home variant
The home page renders three variants (A, B, C) from the same components and toggles visibility with data-home-variant attributes. To ship only one variant, edit src/pages/index.astro and remove the <article data-home-variant="b"> and <article data-home-variant="c"> blocks. The variant switcher in the demo pill disappears with the demo pill itself.
